Radical Reset funds $1k grants for BIPOC women changemakers to spend on Solo Reset Weekends as an investment in rest. Applications for a Radical Reset grant open April 25th

Each Radical Reset grant includes a $1,000 stipend and programmatic support for BIPOC women to experience a solo weekend of rest. We provide tools and programming to support self-reflection and intentionality, while honoring your individuality.
You can use the grant to fund a solo 3-night stay (lodging, transportation, meals, activities, etc) in a location of your choice during the summer of 2022. “

Farmers of Color Grant Program - Rural Advancement Foundation International-USA’s Farmers of Color Network
Through Friday, February 19, RAFI-USA is soliciting applications for its next round of funding from Southeastern farmers of color like Carter. Selected applicants will receive up to $10,000 for their proposed projects. Applications may be submitted through an online portal. The awards will be distributed in March.

Soul Fire Farm 2022
The Braiding Seeds Fellowship, a project of Soul Fire Farm Institute in collaboration with the Federation of Southern Cooperatives, provides BIPOC beginning farmers across the NE and SE with a $50,000 stipend, one-on-one mentorship, customized support, and a suite of professional development opportunities to support their livelihood on land. In addition to 10 fellowship spots, we will be awarding $2500 mini-grants to 12 runners up. Applications for the next cohort are due by May 1, 2022.

Southern Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education
Research Grant proposals must meet the following basic requirements in order to be considered for funding:

Project outcomes must focus on developing sustainable agriculture systems or moving existing systems toward sustainable agriculture.

Projects must involve a systems research approach to sustainable agriculture.

Emphasis in Research Grants is placed on farmer participation, particularly for the production projects, on the relevance to sustainable agriculture, and on the strength of a holistic approach. At least three (3) cooperating farmers must be involved in the project, each with a unique and detailed role.

The project’s central purpose must be research-based with an educational/outreach component to extend the project findings to the public, with specific applicability for and potential adoption by farmers.

Soul Fire Farm in Collaboration with The Fderation of Southern Cooperatives
Farming will be the main work of fellows, who will dedicate a minimum average of 20+ hours per week on their farms during the growing season. Fellows will attend quarterly virtual cohort gatherings for networking and professional development. Fellows will also complete at least 50 hours of professional development over 18 months from the menu provided, such as 1:1 mentorship, workshops, business plan support and/or creation, and field experiences. As part of the pilot year, the first fellowship cohort will offer feedback and suggestions to inform future years of the program. Fellows will participate in brief monthly 1:1 check in meetings with fellowship staff.
